Meet Jim.

At the age of 13, Jim’s first job was sweeping floors for a contractor.

Years later, he continues to take care of buildings but on a much larger scale. As the facilities manager at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts, he oversees a team of 15 who are in charge of keeping the stadium, and the owner’s offices and retail spaces, clean for the 70,000 people that may come in and out on any given day.

“There are a lot of moving parts that go into an event or just being here on a daily basis,” he says. “The fan experience is huge on game day. You have to primarily focus on the event but in the background prepare for the next day.”

For Jim, just like many C&W Services employees across the country, his position is a point of pride.

“I’m proud to work here,” he says. “I’ve put a lot of time and effort into this building. I treat it like it’s my home.”

See Jim speak further about his role and experience in the below video filmed at Gillette.

And, check out some tips from him on how to break into the industry.
