Matt Disher joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2019 as the Military Recruiting Program Leader in the Military and Veteran Programs, and is the Chairman of the Veteran ERG. In his time here, Matt has established strong military and veteran recruitment marketing strategies, digital resources and metrics to track to successes. Matt’s role and team focus on development of niche talent pipelines and programs, client advisory and brand development.
Matt’s career has largely focused around corporate military programs and talent acquisition, bringing over 12 years of work experience specific to military programs, talent and marketing. Prior to Matt’s civilian career, he served as a combat engineer in the US Marine Corps attaining the rank of Sergeant before his honorable discharge.

Prior to Matt’s tenure at Cushman & Wakefield, Matt was a VP of Client Experience at RecruitMilitary which is one of the largest military to civilian career focused organizations in America; where Matt’s role was to advise large clients on their build and execution of military programs. Previous to that, Matt led military programs and created disability inclusion programs in the Cintas Corporation – a fortune 500 uniform and services provider; and previously created military programs at Total Quality Logistics, one of the largest 3rd party logistics companies in America. In all cases, Matt led these companies to higher placement among military-ready award systems, as top military friendly companies.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Northern Kentucky University. In 2016 he testified as a panelist with the US Congress House Committee on Veterans Affairs and economic opportunity – as a subject matter expert on post-military careerism and opportunities.

In his spare time, Matt plays the drums, leads the Cincinnati Military & Veteran Consortium of companies, and coaches youth baseball, basketball and football. He and his family reside in Cincinnati, Ohio.
