Last month, members of the C&W Services team were invited to be guest lecturers for undergraduate and graduate students in the Facilities Management program at Texas A&M University. Allen Dye, Director of Business Development, Juan Gomez, Senior HR Director, and Stephanie Smith, Regional Administrator, spoke on two essential facility topics: FM Practices and Facility Asset Management. Additionally, our team provided professional expertise and resources to help the students understand the rewarding career opportunities available in facilities.
Sarel Lavy, Ph.D., Professor in Texas A&M’s Department of Construction Science, wrote,
“We are fortunate to have had your team’s professional expertise and credentials volunteer time from your busy schedule to address the classes and serve as a resource person to the students. The materials help the students develop a better understanding of the opportunities that lie ahead with a facility management career.”
We couldn’t agree more with Dr. Sarel!
Juan Gomez said,
“We have had a great relationship speaking as guest lecturers with Texas A&M for seven years. It has been a fantastic opportunity to share a piece of the FM world with the future generation of Facility Management professionals.”
The students were very interested in learning more about “A Day in the Life of a Facilities Manager” and the day-to-day operations. We are excited that the partnership between Texas A&M University and C&W Services provides an opportunity to attract and engage the next generation of Facilities Management talent.
