Representing C&W Services and Cushman & Wakefield, Sara O’Brien, Director of Workforce Strategy & Development, attended the White House Infrastructure Talent Pipeline Challenge event on November 3, 2022.

The Infrastructure Talent Pipeline Challenge, launched by the Biden Administration in June 2022, is a nationwide call to action to support equitable workforce development. The three sectors of focus for the Talent Pipeline Challenge include: broadband, construction, and electrification following the passing of the Bipartisan Infrastructure LawCHIPS and Science Act, and Inflation Reduction Act. The commitments made through this Challenge will increase opportunities for candidates to find good jobs and meet critical employer skill needs.

C&W Services and Cushman & Wakefield are among approximately 350 organizations, which include corporations, unions, and workforce development associations across 50 states, that are pledging to this Challenge.

“This Challenge demonstrates our commitment to employee development,” shares Sara. “As a leading provider of Real Estate Services and facilities services, it is critical for us to be involved in infrastructure growth and to have the skilled trades talent needed to maintain it. Our specialty talent development programs, such as our Department of Labor (DOL) Registered Apprenticeship Programs for skilled trade occupations like HVAC and Mechatronics/Robotics, strengthen our ability to provide outstanding service to our clients and create career pathways.”
