National Cleaning Week, taking place this year from March 27- April 2, is an opportunity to recognize the cleaning professionals that are essential to our clients and our organization.

Now more than ever with the return to office, our team members play a critical role in making sure the spaces we clean, the products we use and how we value our standards are at the forefront of everything we do. The week-long celebration is hosted by ISSA—The Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association, an association that C&W Services is tightly aligned with, having renewed our Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) and CIMS-GB certifications last year.

Jody Kirtland, Director of Janitorial Services on our Service Innovation and Optimization Team adds,

Optimism is high that the COVID-19 pandemic is finally starting to decline, and many firms are starting to phase in or fully implement a Return to Office plan. As a company, and as an industry, it would be unwise and even irresponsible of us to return to the pre-pandemic business as usual. The new normal for commercial cleaning critically needs us to incorporate pandemic level disinfection and sanitation practices into our new daily cleaning routines, and making creative changes to traditional cleaning frequencies and scopes of work that will allow for enhanced sanitation without making material changes to labor. Incorporating the use of technology for cleaning validation and tracking, more powerful quality assurance programs, and deploying new robotic options are some of the innovations we are coupling with our lessons learned from this pandemic cleaning era.

National Cleaning Week is a great opportunity for us to show our appreciation to our frontline champions who deliver world class service for us day in and day out. They are our pandemic heroes, and are the real secret to our success. We are proud to shine a spotlight on our essential team members not only during National Cleaning Week, but throughout the year.
