In that spirit, we recently held our annual award ceremony at our leadership meeting in Las Vegas, where we gave out a number of important awards, including Salesperson of the Year, Vertical Market/Region of the Year, the Safety Performance Award, and Chief Executive awards.

Safety Performance Award

The 2018 Safety Performance Award goes to our team supporting a major global online retailer. Our operators supporting that client achieved dramatic improvement in all key safety metrics during the year, including attainment of First Quartile performance for Lost Time Incident Rate. Our employees supporting that client earned this award through a strong commitment to safety, including investment in safety resources, as well as close collaboration with this demanding and vital client.

The Region of the Year

The Region of the Year is the Plant Services Group, led by Eric Godard. This award is based on safety performance, account retention, increased revenue year-over-year, and exceeding budget in both revenue and operating income. This business unit excelled in all areas in 2018, continuing a history of outstanding performance.

Jennifer won this award by bringing in over $18 million in new business.Salesperson of the Year

Salesperson of the Year is based on actual annual revenue won against performance to an annual sales quota, but more importantly it is a recognition of hard work and commitment. Our Salesperson of the Year for 2018 is Jennifer Teufel. Jennifer exceeded her quota by 340%, winning new business with significant new revenue across nine transactions. New clients brought in by Jennifer include Cadillac Fairview. She also worked to expand our presence with Kwantlen Polytechnic University and Ryerson University; and to renew clients including Morguard Investments, Rio Can and the University of Guelph.
